Tryouts & Registration

Unfortunately, due to coaching and practice constraints, we are unable to offer team invitations to everyone. However, for those who do not make a team, we provide practice player invitations.

Team invitations will be sent through OCS. Please ensure you use the same email for OCS registration as you do for tryout registration.

We plan to have a total of 7-8 teams across the 11-17u levels. Depending on the number of tryout participants, we will form 1-2 teams at each age level.

Those who are not current USAV members will need a tryout membership. Memberships from the previous year expire on August 31, 2024. If you accepted a team invite during the summer, you must purchase a full USAV membership prior to tryouts.

Team invites will be sent through the OCS system within a few days after the final tryout date. Please ensure that the email you used to register for tryouts is the same one you use for OCS.

You only need to pay for tryouts once, which covers all sessions. If you paid for team evaluations during the summer, there are no additional tryout fees. However, those who attended Summer Skills will need to register and pay the tryout fee.

BVC will not hold official summer tryouts. As a club, we believe in providing everyone with the opportunity to play, especially those starting volleyball at the school level. Players who were with our club in the previous season are welcome to attend our team invite evaluation session. Additionally, participants of our Summer Skills Clinic will have the added benefit of the BOLTS Evaluation.

Although we do not hold official summer tryouts, we understand that waiting until fall can be stressful. To alleviate this, we offer team invite BOLTS Evaluations for players who participated in the previous season or attend our Summer Skills Clinic. Each player will receive a skills assessment and recommendations for improvement for fall tryouts. Based on these evaluations, players who are a good fit for our club will receive an official age-level team invite for BVC. No more than 60% of team spots will be filled at this time, with final team determinations made after fall tryouts.

Teams were not completely filled during the summer. Not receiving an offer in the summer does not preclude you from making a team during fall tryouts.

We are planning to host only summer tryouts for our 17u team. If we are unable to fill our roster with summer tryouts, we will host an additional fall tryout.
